BANBURY'S AWARD WINNING YOUTH THEATRE GROUP
Renowned for our ability to put on a fully staged musical in just one week during the summer, YOBOS is an award winning, non-profit making, group created in 2003, as an exciting musical theatre project giving 11 to 19 year olds in the Banbury and North Oxfordshire area a taste of what it takes to be in a musical production. YOBOS high quality productions have resulted in the group gaining national recognition, winning awards as well as being asked to perform in the West End as part of a showcase of the country’s talented young performers on numerous occasions. The YOBOS performances are fully costumed, with professional quality lighting and sound, along with a live orchestra. Our previous productions include '42nd Street', 'Rock of Ages', 'The Wedding Singer', 'Legally Blonde', 'Grease,' '13 the Musical,' ‘Seussical the Musical,’ ‘Rent,’ ‘Hairspray,’ ‘Little Shop of Horrors,’ ‘Crazy for You,’ ‘Hot Mikado,’ ‘Fame,’ ‘Barnum,’ ‘Anything Goes,’ ‘Honk!,’ and ‘Bugsy Malone.’ All these productions were met with rave reviews, not only from audience members, but also from our members!

We will always hold a Taster Day for each production. This gives you a chance to meet the team, find out about the show and meet like-minded people!
If you decide you'd like to be part of the show, we hold a relaxed audition process consisting of acting, singing and dancing. Everyone who auditions will be part of the show! We just want to see what you can do!
Following the auditions, we hold one workshop a month leading up to YOBOS Week. Here you will get to know your follow cast mates and team as well as look at characterisation and work on some of the major musical numbers in the show!
This is what it's all been leading up to! We will rehearse everyday for a week in the summer holidays before staging our musical (three times!) in front of an audience.
